那是暮春、初夏之際的事了。

燕子尚未遷徙，我歸返南方的百年老街，屋宇彷彿欲掉的門牙，路口無時游離著老朽而哀慟的氣味。穿梭其中，似乎置身於不同年代之中，而自屋內傳來午間新聞的播報聲卻清晰可聞，一則則群情激憤的街頭抗議，或是政商的八卦消息。

黑夜對我而言就是阻力
不論是既存的或是想像的社會壓力或是虛榮
如果這些東西的存在大於我願意追尋的意義
那麼我就愛星星不夠深
人可以虛榮
但是不能被虛榮吃定
人可以懦弱
但不能被懦弱吃定
我可以很棒
但是不需要別人來說
至少有一天我希望不需要別人來說
如果我們愛星星夠深
這條路就會變成一條阻力最小的路
願我在黑夜裡依舊清醒
所以唸不唸研究所跟唸什麼研究所都是手段
有沒有留退路也是手段
不過手段很重要
因為對我一個平凡的人而言
手段跟星星依舊是有關聯的
我記得之前看一篇文章是一個醫學生寫的
他說 "什麼？有對的路嗎？"
"我只知道一件事，就是把走過的路變成對的路。"
我們可以說這是證成行為或是合理化行為或是防衛機轉
但是我在這裡感動
因為不是某種生活讓一個人有意義
而是人自身 讓生活有意義
所以我膽敢強勢又頑固的說
我走的路 都是對的路
沒有什麼路會被我白走

--小時候就這麼調皮地在外公家的書架上，略讀她的詩、最近又覽讀此篇
